To adapt to the changing situations in life with an attitude of awareness is part of heeling, to love your suffering and make sense of your journey. Those times where life telling me I was on the wrong path and it needed to be changed, none of those crazy times happened by drinking tea, reading books in the library or running ultra marathons like I do now. Those times taught me about the worst experiences life has to offer but has now led me to a deep peace in my mind that I experience everyday now. I'm always greater up for life and try to see life from other people's point of view when they do wrong, nobody wants to hurt anyone else and I wasn't an angel in those days either. We all act accordingly to our own life experiences, mindset and out of where love was accepted or rejected in the past so I always think more which is nice.
I'm living to tell the talk of my past, the life experiences and what I've grown from in adversity to create something beautiful so you can make sense of your own suffering. The signs that can be showing you to change direction of put into writing what you've overcame. I could analyse and say I shouldn't be alive today but I am, I chose to win and redirect things. It's no accident now I write in my house beside the canal looking into the water in the candle light and with fruit & vegetables for dinner. Life is no accident, there is meaning behind every experience, choice and action, every thought and every breath. We are all more powerful than we think and can do a lot more than we can imagine, I've had a lot of life experience before I'm even 30 but I would not change a thing. It's set me up with s bulletproof mindset focused on freedom and health, creating deep values and finding purpose from all past experience. To gather all the shit and use it as fertiliser to grow a peace film and beautiful life, I turned my shit into something special and that's my biggest success. The medals, papers, magazines, tv, talks, lifestyle and the connections now in my life are just all the results from what I created from those times. When I learned to love the suffering, love myself and grow like the lotus flower from the muddy thriving to grow out of the swamp above the water to open up and bask in the sun in all of its beauty.
So what makes me a fruit & vegetable eating Glaswegian vegan, plant based ultra running athlete, Buddhist meditating writer, speaker and all the titles I am now? ..... It's easy to work out nor isn't it (wee joke) life is a great experience and making one new decision takes us on course for a new direction and anyone can transform, change, find meaning incorporate it into the journey and turn all the shit into something special. Think about it .... Don't put shit in your pockets, plant it in the ground to transform it! Plant the shit to make beautiful fruit trees and that food had came from the powerful fertiliser of shit and hard work. Your life is your garden, your journey and your experiences, you can grow, expand and always become more of yourself & that's an amazing thought, isn't it?
