You've probably also seen monks putting themselves on fire in the past on TV, but if you can't control your own heart and your own mind then why be here to hurt others is their mindset, but maybe that beats going to war with blaming someone else for your pain, that's not for you to question because your life is yours is it not? Buddhism is really about you taking full responsibility for your own life. Your health, your happiness and your freedom and it's all on your own shoulders. You can't offend Buddhism though because it's a state of mind, it's yours! Its really all about yourself, (selfish religion) the status mean different things to different cultures, the fat Buddha is for desires outside of yourself to make you happy to party and chase gold, to gamble in order to smile on the outside and the other one sitting in peace is about being the best you inside to smile with mind, but all Buddhas are different. Buddha means awake, to be awake to your own life and your story in a way it can help those around you. Buddhism isn't a religion on belief terms, it's really just a religion for tax reasons is how Ajhan brahm explains it as a joke as he has no money. But to sum it all up what Buddhism really means to me is that when everybody thinks the same then nobody is thinking at all. It's a great philosophy and fits in with my whole lifestyle which is the opposite of control and someone else's rules or eat life should be, I'm not sure how others see these beliefs of mine but I have no problems with them in any area of life. It's really simple, enjoy your mind and never let any knowledge stand in the way of truth. Experts mean nothing if it's not from the heart, there's no books in Buddhism and the best book is your own heart through your own meditation and when you make a mistake then there is no such thing as guilt and punishment if it's from the heart, like you may see in this culture which talks about punishment and hell all the time in the news. Really with mistakes in Buddhism from your heart you just acknowledge it, forgive it and then learn from it all in your mind and move forward & let your actions reflect the change in transformation. Life's not supposed to be hard, it's supposed to be simple and if you can't explain your beliefs to a 10 year old then you don't understand then yourself. So why do you drink beer? Smoke? Watch TV? Eat animals? Why are you not free? Don't look to anyone else answer it all about you? What's in your heart? What can you do today that can set you free? What can you give? The best thing you can give this world and those around you is your own self transformation. How does that sound? You write, share your story and let love and freedom illuminate your life? Animals teach kindness and meditation teaches you more than any opinion, book or tv show ever can. You can be, do and have whatever you want in life but let me tell you the secret that took me many years, always grow the healthy parts of your life .... When you want nothing from the world then this world will surrender to your mind #LoveTheJourney 📝
