I live simply, life might not be easy for other human beings but life can always be simple. It can always be peaceful and free, it's an ego driven life that is tough and I know that through experience. Being an athlete it's a battle with the ego, we all have one so its a never ending process of being my best but at the same time still allowing myself to laugh at myself for mistakes along the way. There's not a day I'm not grateful, I lie like I do for myself first to be the best dad I can be for my daughter. In health, peace and lifestyle. I welcome love from other people who love this part of me too. I did have to burn bridges to places and with amazing funny people where I could not return to the old ways, and the old environments and I burnt those bridges in peace saying "I need to go and change the way in living guys, it's something I have to do" because it was me that had to grow in my own island and I will never let any knowledge stand in the way of truth back then. I had to change for myself first, there was no hiding that. I did it all on my own for the first few years and looking back to that solitude it was beautiful and now I look back further blessed and grateful that I've had so many life experiences so young, from travel to the tough times and the feeling that others still love me for that selfish decision to change my full life around to have more peace is nice. I had to do it for me, so I was in competition with nobody else back then and I take that attitude into all other areas of life as self reliance is my biggest strength and that's what I promote.
I wake up at 4am, meditate, write, have tea and always make peace with life and then I build the day from that on this character building journey forward. Its almost 6am and I'm just about to run around and meet my friend Iain for a long run. I always think about this life as a treasure hunt now to find more fantastic inspiration from others, in person, books, seminars and online. I am a life time grinder celebrating the journey everyday, but I'm also a life time learner too. It's hard to sum up everything I've changed from as it's been a lot even so young, but meditation makes it really easy to let go, laugh at the mistakes and then that experience makes it easy to become and grow more from that, do more and then give more back. I've been wrong a lot, I've made many mistakes along the way but the great thing about life is that it's my mistakes that have led me on this new path I'm on now and it's taken me to new heights of peace. To me success is simply living life on my own terms, and being in full responsibility of my own life.
I talk with so much authority because I'm talking about my life, and by doing so I'm showing you that by giving yourself the freedom to make mistakes is how you grow as a human being, and into all that you can possibly be. Eat the apple, drink the water, read the book, go the run and make the rest of your life the best of your life ..... It's your decisions that determine the destiny of your life and it's your thinking that determines the quality of it #LoveTheJourney
