Despite rumours to the contrary, we are still in business - albeit with a new rival for your attention! Still, they say competition is good for the customer, so we will do our best to up our game to attract you to our gigs.
First of all, check out our new venue - The Heritage Quay at Huddersfield University HD1 3DH . Situated in what was the Central Services Building, Heritage Quay is ideally placed in the centre of the campus, with plenty of well-lit, free parking.
The new name for the venue is “The Jazz Room”, where there will be table seating and a fully stocked bar. For the moment, we have decided not to provide any catering, but are more than willing to hear your thoughts on this.Full details of the gigs are on the attached leaflet, but here’s a brief summary to whet your appetite:-

Dan Whieldon Trio with Richard Iles. Jazz pianist Dan Whieldon discovered his love of jazz while studying classical music at Birmingham Conservatoire. He now enjoys playing with several national and international artists - including Steve Waterman, Alan Barnes, Tina May, Jiggs Whigham, Art Themen and Dan Shout. His lineup is:-

Huddersfield Jazz is proud to present Nicola Farnon who is widely recognised as one of the classiest jazz and swing musicians in the UK. She was described by Humphrey Lyttelton as “a remarkable performer on stage, a fine singer and an outstandingly swinging and propulsive bass player with an outgoing personality to match...a class act who should be on every Jazz festival in the land……a sure-fire hit.” Her trio consists of:-
