Accompanied by her 16-piece Hollywood Orchestra, and conducted by world class trumpeter, composer and arranger Guy Barker, award-winning singer and BBC Radio 2 presenter, Clare Teal returns home to the Yorkshire Dales to present her new show Twelve O’Clock Tales in Settle on 26th May.
This rich, jazz infused repertoire explores timeless classics penned by the legendary musical storytellers of the last 100 years, and celebrates the giants of the Great American and British Song Books through to the work of more contemporary writers of today plus Clare’s own original compositions.
The music played in these shows is always evolving, from The Great American and British Songbooks to the music made popular by her heroes, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and Peggy Lee to more contemporary covers and original material. Clare loves to create a melting pot of styles and genres, but all sung in her inimitable style. Beautiful melodies, fabulous arrangements and all interspersed with Clare’s warm and witty story telling.
