Ruby Turner, Panjumby and Refix for Hull - Entrepreneur Generations

Ruby Turner - 16 April now sold out!
From Kirsty Halliday

J-Night have got a couple of shows coming up in Hull later this month.  On Saturday 16th April – Ruby Turner Band, @Hull Truck Theatre. A favourite with Hull audiences, we're delighted to be welcoming Ruby Turner soul, gospel, R&B and jazz to Hull Truck Theatre to launch our 2016 programme but this has been so popular it is now Sold Out.

Saturday 30th April – International Jazz Day with Panjumby and Refix, Hull Truck Theatre

So instead why not join us as we bring International Jazz Day celebrations to Hull for the second time. We'll be celebrating at Hull Truck Theatre with Panjumby, led by Trinidadian Calypsonian and steel pan maestro Dudley Nesbitt. With a stellar line up featuring Dudley Nesbitt (steel pans, percussion), Richard Ormrod (saxophones, clarinet, flute), Barkley McKay (keyboards, guitar), Kenneth Higgins (electric bass) and Sam Hobbs (drums), Panjumby blend Calypso, Soca and jazz in an uplifting fusion of British Jazz and Caribbean rhythms.

Supporting Panjumby, we're delighted to present the first performance from Lyn Acton and Audrey Okyere-Fosu's exciting new project Refix. It's a collaboration featuring some of Hull's finest musicians, including Scott Langthorpe from Endoflevelbaddie, Dave Gawthorpe and multi-media visuals from Jay Moy.

Music to bring people together and lift the spirits...supported by Jazz North's Northern Line Scheme.
