The Scarborough Festival countdown begins on Monday 18th April with a jazz special at Farrer’s Bar & Brasserie Scarborough as saxman Stuart Macdonald and The Mike Gordon Trio launch Scarborough Jazz Festival 2016.
This exciting evening is to be part of the popular ‘Monday Music With Music’ and will be hosted by Festival Director, Mike Gordon, as he starts the countdown to this September’s festival.
Mike with perform alongside Bob Walker and Tom Townsend, who together make up ‘The Mike Gordon Trio’, the resident band at the weekly Scarborough Jazz Club.
Taking centre stage for the evening will be Stuart MacDonald, one of the finest jazz musicians around. Stuart plays the entire sax family from soprano and tenor down to the giant bass.

Upcoming artists at this new jazz venue include Terri Ann Prendergast on 25 April and Damien Rhodes on 5 May, with more acts to be announced soon.
