The Impossible Gentlemen launch new album in Manchester - Entrepreneur Generations
The new album launch from The Impossible Gentlemen will be held in the Manchester at the Royal Northern College of Music on Tuesday 26 July 8.00pm
This Anglo-American jazz supergroup, now joined by Manchester's multi-reeds maestro Iain Dixon, are five unique talents, all superb players in their own right, joining forces to create sparkling, impassioned music with their trademark powerful and immaculate performances.
Their pieces effortlessly embrace jazz, raunchy blues and hard-rocking grooves with the elegance of classical music, delicate vignettes, soaring improvised lines and Pat Metheny-influenced guitar themes. The ensemble’s sound palette is rhythmically intense and harmonically adventurous and the addition of saxophone brings out the band’s melodic drive yet further.
With an on-stage presence that radiates easy humour and a delight in each other’s company that belies their virtuosity, they return to mjf with music from their third album Let’s Get Deluxe, which is launched this evening.
