Poll: Trump has twice as many rural supporters as Clinton, but urban areas push Democrat into lead - Entrepreneur Generations

If rural votes were the only ones that counted in the November election Republican Donald Trump would win the presidency by a landslide. As it is, Democrat Hillary Clinton holds a narrow lead in the popular vote, 46 to 43 percent, according to the latest poll by NBC News and The Wall Street Journal. Trump is slaughtering Clinton in rural areas, 60 percent to 29 percent, Chuck Todd, Mark Murray and Carrie Dann report in today's "First Read" for NBC. Clinton makes up ground in urban areas, where she leads Trump 58 percent to 33 percent. "The advantage here for Clinton and Democrats: There are a lot more votes in Urban America than Rural America."
Trump is outperforming Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential election in rural areas, while Clinton is doing worse than President Obama did in rural areas in 2012, reports NBC. Clinton is underperforming in the college towns and Trump is under-performing in counties NBC labels "Faith Driven America" and Urban America, especially places with a significant Latino population, where he is often met with protests and unrest.
