Greg Osby + "Vein" (5 May)
Hi Seven Jazz supporters – a couple of bits of good news!
The first is that Seven Jazz has been nominated as Jazz Venue of the Year in this year’s Parliamentary Jazz Awards! We're absolutely surprised and delighted with this and thanks to anyone who nominated us. The second is that we’ve reached our target for purchasing a new piano for Inkwell Arts - again thanks for all your support in sponsoring keys! We'll have the piano in place in time for our Inkwell Sunday afternoon gigs on the 8th and 15th May.
A lot to offer you this coming month - two evening concerts, one featuring Greg Osby and "Vein" and the other James Clark's Lonely Hearts Rugby Clwb Orchestra, plus lovely Sunday afternoon gigs from Canadian trumpet star Ingrid Jensen with the Leeds Jazz Orchestra, guitarist Derrick Harris, our favourite trombone band "Slide Area" and six (!) different groups from Leeds College of Music in our College Collections.
