Iconclastic jazz trio The Bad Plus came together at the end of the 20th century and have consistently avoided easy categorisation with their creativity, unique sound and gift for joyful live performance.
Based in New York City, they have constantly searched for rules to break, bridging genres and techniques while exploring the infinite possibilities of three exceptional musicians working in perfect synchrony.

The trio play from their new album (released September 2016), threading ingenious eclectic covers through their own uncompromising originals. They continue to redefine what a jazz piano trio can be. "So, if this piano trio wants to play as loud as a rock band; well, let 'em rip...these bad boys have the musicianship to back up their attitude".
