Georgina first started singing when she was 16 with Brendan Duffy who asked her to sing with
LYJRO (the Leeds youth jazz rock orchestra) and it's from there that she developed her love for
singing and music. The LYJRO also gave her the amazing experience of travelling to Durban, South
Africa where she was able to teach the children from the local townships.
Brendan will be well known to most of you as he has been playing sax since he was 9 yrs old
and jazz “for more years than I care to remember” Brendans quote not mine. His playing can be
summed up as slightly manic but always melodic and full of interesting phrases. He always tries to
encourage young up and coming talent as shown by his big jazz band, the Leeds Youth Jazz Rock Orchestra.
