My DonorsChoose project and my Amazon wishlist for equipment - Entrepreneur Generations

Hi all!

I have a real sense of excitement for this year's baseball team, and am making a couple of pleas for equipment and materials that would help out our kids. As you may have surmised, baseball in cities like Baltimore faces an uphill battle. Equipment can be expensive, and baseball diamonds require much maintenance. However, the group of kids that I coach have not let this bring them down, ever. They have been training since the start of the school year, as well as maintaining strong grades. One piece of equipment we are lacking is an L-screen, the screen that protects whoever is throwing batting practice (often me, sometimes players) from batted balls.

We received on in a grant from the Ripken Foundation 13 years ago, and that has served us well, but it is on its last legs. This crucial piece of safety equipment is expensive, and I can't pay for it all out of pocket. I've made a Donors Choose for it, as well as for other equipment we need, below.
