From Chris DeSaram
Wakefield Jazz kicks off its new season on 6th October with the ever-popular Orient House Ensemble led by Gilad Atzmon. On this tour he is promoting his latest CD "The Spirit of Trane" featuring the ballads that J C played.
There follows a programme of sixteen major weekly concerts through to February 2018 (see http://ift.tt/1PaYKTP) with three more in October. Alan Barnes Octet plus poet Josie Moon perform the locally inspired Fish Tale suite on 13th October. Scots Konrad Wisniewski and Euan Burton visit as New Focus Quartet (Alyn Cosker on drums!) - they travel down to Wakefield on Friday 20th October.
