Michigan State University is looking for a few good soybean farmers. The university extension is partnering with the Michigan Soybean Promotion Committee on a project to identify and overcome barriers to achieving higher soybean yields.
In this the third and final year of the project, Michigan soybean farmers are asked to volunteer to provide "field-specific information about yields, crop inputs and management practices from at least 200 non-irrigated fields that were planted to soybeans in 2017 to be able to generate meaningful results (more fields will produce better recommendations)," Mike Staton reports for the Michigan State University Extension.
To make the study statistically meaningful, researchers must collect survey information from 90 irrigated fields that were planted to soybeans in 2017. All information provided by soybean farmers will be kept confidential.
