The Sela Bar Leeds announced a visit from veteran jazz organist Lonnie Liston Smith on Sunday evening 22 April
Lonnie Liston Smith has a jazz pedigree second to none. He's played with Pharoah Sanders, Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Betty Carter, Gato Barbieri, Miles Davis and Max Roach to name just a few. His band Lonnie Liston Smith and the Cosmic Echoes are widely regarded as classics in the fusion, quiet storm, smooth jazz and acid jazz. He appeared on the Jazz World Stage at the Glastonbury Festival in June 2009.
