Georgia Mancio continues her longstanding musical partnership with composer/pianist Kate Williams. They present a collection of songs, old and newly co-written, arranged for trio and voice, including pieces from their acclaimed suite “Finding Home“

Miriam Ast and Victor Gutierrez @Seven Arts Sunday 11 March 1.30pm
Miriam Ast is a German jazz singer, saxophonist and composer. Last year she graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, London and is now teaching at Leeds College of Music .She has worked with some established German musicians including the Polish bassist Vitold Rek, the Echo jazz awardee Sebastian Sternal, and the German saxophonist Gerd Dudek. In London, she has sung with saxophonist Stan Sulzmann and has been part of the London Vocal Project. Victor Gutierrez is a Spanish-born pianist, arranger and composer, a graduate at Berklee College of Music (USA) and scholarship recipient at the Royal Academy of Music, London. Bring your horn or your voice or just come down and watch the fun. The Seven Jazz trio will be there to support you and the 20-strong Jazz Voices Choir (with two tutors this time - Tessa Smith and Jack Glover) and JazzLeeds Workshop tutored by Tom Sharp and Dom Moore. If you’ve heard Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, then you’ll have heard saxophonist Derek Nash. From smooth cool to groovy funk, to ingeniously recast standards, to gorgeous ballads, his acoustic quartet fizzes with energy. And what a brilliant rhythm section with three jazz legends - David Newton on piano, Geoff Gascoyne bass and Sebastiaan de Krom drums. It will be swinging! The gig will show what four brilliant jazz musicians can do when left to get on with it! Tenor saxophonist, composer and graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, Nadim Teimoori is making a national name for himself , appearing with Julian Joseph, Jamie Cullum, James Taylor, Iain Ballamy and many others. Formed around the classic lineup of Sax, Guitar, Organ and Drums, Teduloca are a contemporary jazz quartet, featuring some of Yorkshire's most exciting and dynamic improvisers.
