Top 100 healthiest rural counties list released - Entrepreneur Generations

U.S. News & World Report has released its annual list of the top 100 healthiest rural communities, ranked according to performance in 10 categories that drive health outcomes: population health, equity, education, economy, housing, food and nutrition, environment, public safety, community vitality and infrastructure.

Colorado figured prominently on the list, scoring five of the top 10 communities, including Routt County in the top spot. Western states such as Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and Montana also made frequent appearances on the list, along with a smattering of counties in New England and elsewhere. No counties in Appalachia or the Deep South were on the list.
