July 14th – Stephanie Trick + Paolo Alderighi – once again, we are delighted to join in the festivities as part of the Boston Spa Festival Weekend by presenting Stephanie & Paolo from the USA. Two young musicians of outstanding talent playing singly and duets in the ‘Harlem Stride’ piano style. Think Fats Waller and, latterly, Jeff Barnhart. 21st – Sorry – No Jazz
28th – Keith Nichols + John Hallam + Graham Smith – the Blue Three – the rearranged session following the weather cancellation in March. It’s a first appearance in Boston Spa for Keith – one of the UK’s most respected musicians and an exceptional pianist. Here he joins forces with our favourite reeds player, John Hallam to provide an evening of outstanding classical jazz. This will certainly be an evening to remember.
August 2018
4th – Savannah Jazz Band – Yorkshire’s much travelled premier jazz band back in its home territory to entertain us with its customary blend of driving Traditional/New Orleans style jazz coupled with a good measure of rhythm and blues. Always a lively session with a decidedly humorous tinge.

18th – Maine Street Jazzmen – and just to keep you all in a jolly, holiday mood, we have the highly respected Jazzmen from the North East with their inimitable blend of fast moving Traditional jazz interspersed with some rousing harmonica numbers from leader Herbie Hudson. Definitely one of the best groups on the circuit.
25th – Jeff Barnhart and “Spats” Langham – Yes – it’s Mr Barnhart and Mr Langham together again at your request following the memorable evening’s entertainment last year. Our two virtuosos on stride piano and on guitar, banjo and ukulele with the perfect melange of musical standards, memories and anecdotes. Just be there!
