Jazz Cafe in Newcastle to move - Entrepreneur Generations

News from the Jazz Cafe in Newcastle....

You may have already heard the rumours... Yes they are true we are moving!

The Cafe has had it's roots on Pink Lane for over 25 years now and it's just out grown the current premises. So the Cafe is moving round the corner on to Westgate Rd and to within Newcastle Arts Centre, the daytime cafe will be split into two levels.. ground floor for takeouts or a quick cuppa and an upper mezzanine, cosy and full of caricature, for lunch or reading the paper and the hope to provide some Saturday afternoon live Duos . Don't worry Chef Natalie will still be making her famous cakes and scones!

The live Jazz will move in with the Black Swan Basement Bar and Venue which is currently undergoing some changes to give it the 1920's vibe we all love about the Cafe, with a new stage in the main bar and the larger venue with its capacity of 200, better access for all and a larger stage we are able to host larger touring bands along with some old favourites. Not to mention the off street courtyard to enjoy lunch or an evening drink (when the summer arrives of cause).... And we are not leaving an empty space on Pink Lane

The Jazz Cafe's last day on Pink Lane will be Saturday 27th of Oct and will Reopen in the Arts Centre on Tuesday 6th Nov. Tuesdays Jam on the 30th of Oct will take place in it's new home at the Black Swan, 69 Westgate Rd. Thank you for your support of the Jazz Cafe over the past years and we hope you will come and see us in our new home.
