Hyde Park Brass Sunday Jazz Aug 16, 1.30pm Hyde Park Brass are on the road all over the country to bring the party right back! Observing government rules regarding distancing and gatherings, they’ll be bring a short set to the Seven Arts courtyard
Toby Brazier Quartet Rush Hour Jazz Wednesday Aug 19 6-7.15pm Original funk/fusion inspired music from young Bradford based trumpeter
These are pay as you feel gigs - jazz in the open air in Seven Arts Courtyard - fully distanced, table service. The courtyard is only a small space with a limit of 30 people at a time. The staff at Seven Arts may ask you to sit inside the venue (socially distanced of course) until a seat becomes available outside - if they do, please do as they say.

We're Flying High too!
Chapel Allerton Arts Festival group decided to cancel this year's event due to Covid-19 - but as restrictions have begun to be eased there has been momentum to try and do something on the festival week, although on a much smaller scale and with social distancing. They re delighted to announce 'Chapel Allerton Flying High' an art, craft and music event!
There will (of course) be open air jazz too - at Seven Arts Courtyard, and a jazz picnic on the field at the Gledhow Sport and Social Club on Gledhow Lane (near the top of Little Switzerland). We've some lovely bands agreed to play too
Tshok - fusing Balkan and North African sounds with drum n’ bass, jazz, funk and more,
Jeremy Sassoon Quartet- jazz, blues, soul and the music of Ray Charles with Leeds favourite saxman Jim Corry and Richard Hammond bass/ Craig Hanson drums vocalist
Alice Higgins with Conal Mulvenna guitar and Will Blackstone trumpet
Elliot Richards Trio with saxman Eliot paying homage Charlie "Bird" Parker (Flying High theme? Of course!). and Trad jazz at the picnic with local hero Jim Wright's "Rhythm Deluxe" .
