New project to seek federal aid, tax incentives and more to revitalize local news - Entrepreneur Generations

A diverse coalition of local news organizations is backing a new project, Rebuild Local News, that aims to help local news organizations stay afloat—and editorially independent—with funding through federal funding, tax credits for advertisers and philanthropists, and more. 

The idea is the brainchild of Steve Waldman, president and co-founder of Report for America. It appears to build on a recent article he wrote proposing many of the same ideas. Read more here.
