At 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, Agri-Pulse will host a bipartisan virtual discussion about the major rural issues before Congress, including the pandemic, unemployment, broadband, farming, and the environmental impact of natural disasters and wildfires.
The free webinar, which will last about an hour, will feature House Agriculture members Abigail Spanberger, D-Va., and Dusty Johnson, R-S.D., along with manufacturing lobbyist Kip Eidberg (his employer, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, is sponsoring the webinar). Agri-Pulse managing editor Spencer Chase will moderate.
Within the Agriculture committee, both representatives serve on the Commodity Exchanges, Energy, and Credit subcommittee. Johnson also serves on the Nutrition, Oversight, and Department Operations subcommittee, and Spanberger chairs the Conservation and Forestry subcommittee.
