USDA to hold free virtual Agricultural Outlook Forum Thursday and Friday - Entrepreneur Generations

The U.S. Department of Agriculture will hold its 97th annual Agricultural Outlook Forum as a virtual conference on Feb. 18 and 19, with a short pre-conference session on Feb. 17. Registration is free but required.

The program will begin with a presentation by USDA’s new Chief Economist, Seth Meyer, on predictions for U.S. commodity markets and trade for 2021 and the U.S. farm income situation. A keynote address by Agriculture Secretary nominee Tom Vilsack, presentations by Congressional leaders, and a session on genetic literacy are also scheduled for the morning on the first day of the forum.

The program will cover five key areas: supply chain resilience, commodity market outlooks; food price and farm income outlooks; U.S. trade and the global market place; risk management and sustainability; and innovation, technology and productivity.
