Folk meets jazz meets world music from Scandinavia across a variety of styles, cultures and frontiers!
We are delighted to welcome Himmerland back this group of boundary-pushing Scandinavian musicians return to Swaledale next week as part of their first post-pandemic tour, performing in Reeth Memorial Hall on Thursday, October 28.
With a recently revised line up, Himmerland currently comprises Eskil Romme on soprano sax, Kirstine Haugaard Sand on violin, Sigurd Hockings on guitar and vocals, and Jakob Kragesand on bass, and together they produce a unique sound, melding folk, jazz and world music.
Tickets are £14 in advance (£16 on the door) and under 16s are half price; on sale at Reeth Post Office or contact John Little 01748-884759, email: memorialhall@swaledale.co.uk. Proceeds are in aid of hall funds. Please note that maximum ventilation will be used and no refreshments will be served, please bring your own drinks if required, however it will not be possible to observe social distancing. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
