A free webinar at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jan. 27, will discuss rural infrastructure laws and policy. It's part of the Rural Reconciliation Project, a University of Nebraska College of Law initiative that seeks to cut through popular narratives on both sides of the rural/urban divide and assess the past, present and future of big structural issues in rural America. Previous sessions have addressed rural jobs and power. Upcoming sessions will address broadband and water.
In Thursday's webinar, University of Iowa law professor Greg Shill will examine questions about rural infrastructure policy including:
- What were original infrastructure goals and choices?
- Who benefited and who did not?
- Were those goals met and why?
- Where should we invest now?
