Global Top 10 Management Concepts

These are the Global Top 10 Management Concepts as presented by 12Manage.com. I'm not sure how they are determined, but #2 is from a French gentleman who died in 1925, and everything else essentially predates the Internet.

Does it strike you as odd that consulting and academia haven't created some new, interesting constructs that help to describe--and help companies compete in--the Web-world? Perhaps business is just business after all. Or perhaps the folks who would have constructed the new models are all out starting new businesses. Or--another thought is--the folks who are building the new businesses aren't worried about management concepts, and hence, none of the new stuff gets any traction.
