
Does it strike you as odd that consulting and academia haven't created some new, interesting constructs that help to describe--and help companies compete in--the Web-world? Perhaps business is just business after all. Or perhaps the folks who would have constructed the new models are all out starting new businesses. Or--another thought is--the folks who are building the new businesses aren't worried about management concepts, and hence, none of the new stuff gets any traction.
