We are very pleased with our club programme following on from such a great Scarborough Jazz Festival . Some top performers are coming to the Cask this month!

OCTOBER 5
Unkempt
Saxophonist Dave Kemp leads the Unkempt, a mix of jazz, funk, blues and lots of humour. Sublime sax-led madness from Dave, who has played alongside artists as diverse as Jimmy Cricket, Bez (Happy Mondays) and Justin Timberlake, is joined by Chris Lea (bass), Mark Gordon (keys) and  Tom Townsend (drums). “Exciting”, “driving”, and “bonkers”. What a band! £5

OCTOBER 12
Riviera Quartet
The Riviera Quartet sound is a musical triptych of bebop, hard driving blues and Latin-infused original tunes evocative of the 1960’s French Riviera. American trumpet /flugelhorn player Pete
Tanton is joined by top North East musicians Mark Williams on guitar, John Pope on bass and
Russ Norgon on drums. Between  them the group have played with and supported a roster of
musicians as diverse as Wynton Marsalis, John Faddis and Bobby
Shew. £7 (£6)

OCTOBER 19
Will Howard
Will is an up and coming tenor saxophonist, composer and arranger who leads his own quartet and quintet in Leeds.
